T HE INTRIGUING history surrounding Aldwark Manor and it's role through the ages has done much to shape its
unique character. Both the Manor and it's grounds remain seemingly untouched by time and one can imagine history's past events being brought to life once more.
Steeped in History
D URING the Second World War the Manor was requisitioned by the Home Office for use by the RAF

and the Canadian Air Force.

While staying at Aldwark, Wing Commander Guy Gibson spent time planning the legendary 'Dam Busters' raid.
